Well, first off the typhoon came and I didn't even feel it. By the time it was supposed to be here, we were out of typhoon conditions, just a storm watch. I guess it really hit the Philippenes hard though. They had mud slides and people died and were injured.
I was watching T.V. a couple days ago, and the local news came on called "The Pacific Report."They started talking about my husband's MEU. They said that they had been extended due to Iraqi elections. That was the first I heard of it. My eyebrows were way up on my forehead. The next day I went to buy some groceries and saw his MEU on the cover of the Stars and Stripes once again saying they were extended. I go home and read it, which ended up being only 2 lines inside the newspaper. I got all freaked out. I hadn't heard from my husband in 3 days, so I didn't know what to think. He finally called and explained it to me. They were supposed to come home in Jan. (which I didn't know) but now are coming home in March. Not too bad, so I calmed down. Later on that night I got a mass e-mail to all the wives from the CO's wife telling us about the extention. The guys will leave in Feb. and for time to get back home, it will be March. So in all actuality, they'll be home on the estimated latest date that they origionally had. Gee, so I got worked up for nothing. Sometimes the military and their constantly changing dates bugs me.....
