A couple of updates..
We got a dog! We go to pick him up on Saturday. Right now his name is Rover, but that won't stay. He is a 6 week old brindle male english mastiff. He is gorgeous. Joe is more excited about getting this dog than he was at our wedding. I will post pictures once we get him. Another thing if you noticed, I added another blog on my blogroll. Stephani(Iggyfroggy) has started a great idea and made a 'writing palace.' You can submit poetry, stories, or whatever to her and she will put it on her blog to share writings and such. I think it's wonderful. I will add every now and then poetry and such from my collection and just maybe some new ones every now and then too. You should check it out, or maybe try to add to it.

A little rant..
Okay, I want to talk about something on here and I can say what I want because this is my blog. I'm not looking for an argument, or a "there there you poor thing." It's just how I feel about friendship. If I have a screwed up way of looking at it, well that's my problem. This feeling I have isn't because of one situation, it's a pile of situations built up. I'm not naming names or pointing fingers. It's just that I don't want to feel like a bad friend anymore.
Now I don't have alot of close friends. And if anyone really knows me, they know that. I constantly question myself about things. Like am I a good person, am I a good mother, am I a good wife, am I a good friend. Well, I don't like it when someone adds to my plate, it's full enough. Now the friends I have I know are good friends without asking or testing them. If they weren't good friends, they wouldn't still be around. It's just like love. I know who loves me without even having to ask. Why test someone to see? It ridiculus. I've asked myself if I'm being oversensitive about this, but not in this circumstance I think. Time and time again I found myself having to prove my friendship and loyalty. Which I should have only done it once. Once should have been enough. But I found myself back there more than once. I know that people go through changes as you get older and sometimes friendships don't last, or they need to change up a bit. But test this....time and time again I proved my friendship and shouldn't have had to at all. You should have known I was a good friend by my actions and words. When you look back someday I hope you see that, because I will not do it again.

Changes...
Well, we changed our mind on Sunshine. Joe said he wanted a male instead of a female. We don't want to have puppies and such. On top of that, he found a bullmastiff that he really likes the colors of. So we are waiting back on 3 different dogs now. One is the bullmastiff named Lexxy, there's 2 english mastiff puppies Wyatt and Doc, and then Elijah who is a great pyrenees. I've sent messages to the breeders of Lexxy, Wyatt and Doc. Wyatt and Doc are brothers and they look pretty much the same. So we would want either one. I guess it all depends on what I get back in the mail which one we get. If we can't get the mastiffs, we'll try for the great pyrenees. He is a fluff ball and will grow up to be a big 'ol bear. Yes we know that the dogs we are picking are huge, but that's what we want. We looked into the breeds and read about temperment, excersize, and how to take care of them. There's a couple breeds I like, but there isn't any here in California. Like Tibetan Mastiffs, Newfoundland, Dogo Argentino, and Joe likes the Neapolitan Mastiff. But I will let you know what happens!

We're getting a puppy!!!
We haven't exactly paid for her yet, but I sent an email today to the breeder to put a damn payment on her. She is a 10 week old bull mastiff. She is from registered parents. Our Baby Girl
Right now her name is Sunshine, but that won't stay. Isn't she adorable? She's only 4 hours away from us. So when/if we pay for her, we told the breeder we would come get her next weekend. I am so excited! Joe of course is too, but more for Tristan to be able to have a puppy.

My kid is freakin cute!

Isn't his mohawk great? The back is a little bit shorter than the top, but I just added the back on his last haircut. I wish I got a better one of his whole outift. He's go cuffed Levi's on. I had to go to medical and pick up stuff andhe had a purple mustache drawn on his face too. (because he wanted one). Everyone was commenting on how cute he looked. A female Marine told him oorah devil dog, but he got shy and smashed his head in my leg. But he quietly said oorah back. Man, he's freakin cute.....

Music Kick
Okay....now I'm on a music kick and remembered a band I told someone about about a week ago that I MUST HAVE. Now I listen to all kinds of music. This new one I'm telling you about just makes me want to sing along as loud as I can. I definately cruising/house cleaning music. KT Tunstall
The song I've heard that I really like is Black Horse& Cherry Tree. Anyway.......I'm just sharing.

She Wants Revenge
I don't know why, but for some reason I like this song. I haven't really heard much from this band, but I think I'm going to buy the CD. I don't know how much new music I like and all, but this just fits my wierdness. I don't know....see if you like it Tear You Apart

Damn blogger....
Okkkaayyyy....Julia, I wanted to post a comment on your blog but it's being difficult and won't let me. It's nothing you did, just the word verification thing is the same one used on another blog I commented on and won't let me comment on yours. So, I wanted to tell you that it was a great picture of you and the Tristan called you Jewey. Geez! Anyway, I just wanted you to know that.

Marine Corps Ball

Here are the pictures from last years ball. I loved my dress. I found it in a store off base and the back of it is ssoo pretty. The middle picture is Sgt. Stanley and his wife. I'm going to try and spell her name...Tomiyo. She was my friend and I wish I met her sooner than I did. The bottom picture...I can't remember for the life of me his name. He was a really nice guy, but I only met him like twice. We had alot of fun that night. It was my first ball and Joe says it's alot better when it's not segregated like they had that one. But, SgtMaj. Estrada was there which was pretty cool. I hope this years ball will be good, but we have a ways to go before we get there. I think I'll wear the same dress. It's not like anyone here has seen me wear it!

Not alot going on.....
Just thought I would post since I haven't in a few days. It seems like my house has become the hang out spot on Sundays. Which is no bid deal to me, I kinda like it. Joe has a few people from his class over and they study and hang out and I cook them dinner. I like to cook for people so it's fun. I haven't taken pictures of the inside my my house to show you yet, but I will soon. Thank you to everyone that got Tristan presents. Glenda, we got your box yesterday and he loves them. He has an H1,H2, and H3 now! I'm taking him to the park sometime this week so he can play with them in the sand. I want to say something reallt quick about the President's press conference. He said some things that I am glad he did. It is true that terrorist use our own news against us. They blow up 10 innocent people, they'll get attention and people back here to say that we should stop the war. I'm glad to hear that he isn't going to pull the troops out. He even said they would plan to attack us again if we pull out now. Anyway, just thought I would update.

OOOOOhhhh MMannnnnn...
If there was ever anything that really scared me..it was a video game. AND THEY MADE IT INTO A MOVIE! Silent Hill
Yes, the game Silent Hill is now a movie. I played and watched a friend play Silent Hill2 all the time when I worked nights at a county jail. I would be scared out of my mind walking down hallways that are lowlit and riding in metal elevators with no buttons but a speaker, hearing radio static and seeing no one around. If you have ever played the game, you know what I mean. There are 4 Silent Hill games so I bet they make 4 movies. Holy crap! If I ever thought I would piss myself in public, I would put it on this! I'm almost reluctant to watch it.........almost.....

Happy St. Patricks Day
I just wanted to wish everyone a happy St. Patricks days and hope everyone gets to drink a green beer for the day......or just a beer.....or something green......or maybe just put something green on. As fa as I know, we have no definate plans. Glen said something about wanting to go out tonight, but no other words about it. Joe is still at work so I'll find out when he gets here. Either way, if we stay in we've got Guinness and Bud Light in the fridge! So here's a few toasts for ye!

Here's to a long life and a merry one
A quick death and an easy one
A pretty girl and an honest one
A cold beer and another one!

May those who love us, love us.
And for those who don't love us,
May God turn their hearts.
And if he can not turn their hearts,
May he turn their ankles,
So we my know them by their limping.

Last but not least, one for our troops.

To the glasses left empty in bar rooms and homes,
To canteens in combat and the tomb of the unknowns.
We raise our hands in the glory you gave,
Land of the free and home of the brave.

Just don't get it.....
I don't understan California. Granted, I've only been here a couple of months or so..but WTF? I've lived quite a few places in my life, and most of it was in Oklahoma. Am I just used to the somewhat southern style? I watch the news everyday here and so far I've learned that shootings are a weekly thing in Monterey county, 6 highway patrolmen have died in 6 months, stress can shrink your brain, bed bugs are back and invading all kinds of places, people actually hug trees here, stress can be good, damn near anything can kill you, damn near everything is good for you, military-friendly is not a term in this county, and they want to save everything that they fight about how to preserve it all. It's ridiculus here. Joe and I went to Salinas and passed an Arby's. We decided to go in and eat. Not a sou was in there but the staff. Which kind of bugged us....why would it be so empty at 6:00pm? We order our food and stuff and 3 mexican guys come in. Tristan and I are sitting in a booth. I guess one of them worked there and was picking up his check. Joe got up to pump us some ketchup and they start talking to him. He comes back and says the guy was talking shit to him. He has to get back up to get our drinks and they do it again. I can't hear what he's saying and Joe comes back and says the guy tried to call him out. The girl behind the counter kept telling the guys to stop and leave him alone. They left though and we finished our dinner. We decided that if we want Arby's in Salinas, we'll get drive thru.

Papa's Buddy

I think this picture is ssoo cute! I was trying to get Tristan to go lay down so he got on the couch with his Papa. Then he wouldn't get up to get in his own bed. It was adorable. I wanted to put pictures up of my backyard and stuff, but my internet is being testy so I will try later on. Maybe I'll mix it up and put the Marine Corps Ball pictures on here first..I don't know yet....

The Beginning
Well, I have some catching up to do so I should start with our drive over here. We left on a Sunday and actually ended up in Colorado by that night. Which was a good thing. Kansas is so boring to drive through. We went north a little bit instead of straight across because we thought the roads would be better prepared for snow. We got here in 3 days which was alot faster than I thought. We made a few stops to look at stuff, but I think Joe wanted to stop more than he said. He just didn't speak up. There were a few places that we stopped at and wanted to see, but Tristan was asleep in the back seat. A few of them were trails you could walk that they found fossils at. When I was a wee lass, I was obsessed with dinosaurs so I was a bit disappointed that we couldn't walk it. I guess they found quite a few fossil in Utah and some of Nevada. But those 2 states kind of blur together. Except I guess the farmers in Utah don't believe in fences because there were cattle guards on the highways and signs all over saying "open range." Tristan was soo good. I think the DVD player we got for Christmas helped though too. I think I have season 1 of Spongebob memorized. When we did get here, we had to stay in a base hotel for about a week. I seriously think that it used to be barracks that they turned into hotel rooms. 2 rooms shared a bathroom and shower. It was okay though because they gave us the 2 rooms. It felt a little good to be back on a base. It just feels normal to hear a trumpet play when they raise the flag in the morning, the sound for chow, and taps at sunset. And to see uniforms again. The only thing I'm missing is the sound of helicopters. I get an occaisonal plane, but no helicopters. I think Joe already misses flying. The first night we spent in our new house...we had nothing. We went to Target(which I love and there's one right down the highway from me)and bought pillows and a blanket. Tristan had his Spiderman couch and his own blankets so he slept on that. Joe and I were on the floor in our living room. Our shipments came in pretty quick this time which I was glad. They were just flip-flopped. The first shipment had all our pots and pans and stuff, and the second one was stuff we didn't need right away. We made do though. We're all settled in now, just needing a few more pieces of furniture.

   Sunday, March 12, 2006

These are pictures of Tristan's birthday. We didn't have much, but he had a good time. I know there are a few pictures on here now, but you've been waiting. Iwant to say something really fast. I want to say sorry to those that I didn't see and to the ones I barely saw. There was no intention of hurting anyone, just the time frame we had was not long and there were alot of people to see. Alot of family things we needed to do as well. The friends I got to see I was glad to and hope to see again soon. Anyway, enough with that. I have plenty of more pictures to put up on here. The next ones will probably be of our new home. We have a great tree in the back yard and the inside is pretty nice too. We have wood floors in everywhere but the entryway and living room. Our furniture is a bit big for the living room but it still looks nice. It's 3 bedroom and 1 1/2 bath. I also have pics from the Marine Corps Ball that I can put up here too. I don't think they're on here yet. I'll space them out a bit so you don't get overwhelmed though. I have Christmas ones and random ones too that I can throw on sometime too. Just keep lookin!

Pitures...

Pictures! Yay! The first one is of me and my nephew Tyler. He is ssoo big! I didn't know if I was going to get to see him or not. The second one is Jessica on the left, me in the middle, and Aaron on the right. The bottom one is Randi on the left, Stehpani in the middle, and me on the right. I was so glad to see you guys while I was there. It felt really good to be around and hang out again. It meant alot to me to hang out. I miss you!!!!

Back From The Dead...
I know it has been a LONG time since I have updated, but I've been doing alot since I lef off. We did make it here to Cali and it was a pretty trip. We have settled into our house. I haven't got my pictures put on my computer yet so you'll have to wait. Today was the first day that we got out internet. I wanted to let everyone know and my blog is the easiest way. Tristan is doing good. I gave him a mohawk last night and it wasn't on purpose. He started to cry once I got to the top of his head. So I had to leave it. It looks so cute. With it not spiked up, you couldn't tell. Our new house is nice. It's 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath. Wooden floors except in the living room there's carpet. Anyway, this is just a quick hello and I'm alive message, and I will begin routinely updating again! Yay!
